Beer Bike

This committee plans and executes the best week of the year -- Beer Bike Week! The Beer Bike Committee Heads (i.e. Coordinators), with the help of their committee, work for months to bring Hanszen the best possible Beer Bike Week, collaborate with the Bike and Chug Captains to put together a team for race day, and closely deliberate with Hanszen's Guardians regarding jacks on Beer Bike Week.

Bike Captains

The Bike Captains have the all-important job of ensuring Hanszen's bike teams perform the best they can. This committee organizes Hanszen's two semesterly themed college nights and Crane Day in the spring. These events bring the entire Hanszen Family together, often including beverages, inflatables, and a guaranteed good time.

FITQ

Also known as fun in the quad, is a semi-regular event where Hanszenites hang out in our quad and have a joyous time. Often included is music, food, lawn games, various competitions, and whatever else we think of. They typically occur on Friday afternoons and are a great way to celebrate getting through the week.

Kitchen

This committee manages the Hanszen College kitchen. They work with the spaces committee and EVP to ensure all Hanszenites have a clean place to cook!

Merch

This committee designs, orders, subsidizes, and sells Hanszen merchandise. They are the reason Hasnzenites have the best swag on campus, and have designed items like tank tops, sweatpants, boxers, scarves, and even pens for all to enjoy.

Off-Campus (OC)

This committee is in charge of events that specifically relate to Hanszenites who live off-campus. They provide supplies and free lunches, throw off-campus events, and make sure that off-campus Hanszenites are as engaged with the Hanszen community as anyone else.

Senior Events

This committee organizes events for Hanszen's graduating seniors, especially during Senior Week right before graduation. They help Hanszen send off its eldest members in style with events like wine and cheese nights, tubing, and Top Golf.

Service

Service committee is Hanszen's philanthropy branch. They are making sure that we give back to our community, and organize several Outreach Days throughout the year. They also put on Hanszen's Finest, which is a combination of a pageant and a talent show, with all proceeds going to local causes.

Spaces

Spaces committee, in concert with the Hanszen EVP, takes care of Hanzen's spaces. They do maintenance as well as taking on large-scale renovation projects like the music room, TV Room, Library, and storage spaces.

Spirit

This committee makes sure Hanszenites are proud to be Hanszenites! They make sure Hanszen's events calendar is updated and decorate the commons with monthly birthday banners. Additionally, they put together great events like yearly ice skating at the Galleria Mall and pumpkin carving around Halloween-time.

Sports

This committee organizes and supports Hanszen's college sports teams. They make sure we have teams for all of our sports, assign captains, manage equipment, and lead Hanszen to championships each year. Hanszen is a previous winner of the President's Cup (also known as the P-Cup), a trophy awarded to the residential college that wins the most intramural sports competitions.

Crafts

This committee provided fun crafts that would help relieve stress as well as occasionally provide small decorations for Hanszen. In addition to this, this committee had events making practical crafts, such as storage containers.

Hanszen Beyond the Hedges (HBTH)

This committee organized fun outings for Hanszenites to go out and explore the city of Houston. HBTH organized and sometimes subsidized trips to zoos, museums, shows and operas so that Hanszenites could take advantage of the wonderful city in which they live.

Skeleton

While the Guardian proudly watches over Hanszen quad, Harry Femur Hanszen does the same for Lower Commons. In return for his service, we dress him up for various holidays throughout the year.
